MDPC Try Target Shooting Day
Unfortunately our “try target shooting day” has been postponed due to the Corona Virus.
The nature of the event is that people will be in close proximity to each other and passing guns from person to person. There is also safety equipment (glasses and earmuffs) being shared. We’d rather put it off than risk spreading any infection.
There has been some confusion about when the club is closed due to fire restrictions.
There are two different measures of fire danger:
- The State fire authorities have the power to declare a Total Fire Ban.
- The Bureau of Meteorology issues fire weather warnings.
The MDPC is CLOSED when the bureau of meteorology issues a Catasrophic (Code Red) fire weather warning for the Central district.
The club can still be used on days of total fire ban if a code red warning has not been issued.
If the access road is impassable due to fire, there is an emergency exit gate into a neighboring paddock down past the club house.
If you are not clear on the rules, please contact the secretary.
